Ha muerto Lêdo Ivo. Como queriendo cumplir con su deseo de no llamar la atención, de no alzar la voz más de lo necesario, falleció en la madrugada del domingo 24 de diciembre, en medio de unos días de fiesta en los que las noticias se diluyen y lejos de su Brasil natal, en la ciudad de Sevilla, a la que había viajado en un último periplo por los paisajes de algunos de sus poetas españoles favoritos: Machado, Góngora, Quevedo, Lorca, Alberti… Lêdo Ivo era uno de los escritores más importantes de la literatura brasileña, con un especial vínculo con nuestro país, al que acudió en varias ocasiones recientemente: en la edición 2011 del festival Cosmopoética de Córdoba o en marzo de 2010 a la Casa de América.
